I don't know how he writes these songs, and to be honest - more than once I've caught myself in a hint of admiring envy.
С. Filipenko (writer): I would say that Titov rediscovers Galich, to whose work I have always been very calm. Sometimes composers perform their own works worse than other artists. And it seems to me that Titov is the case when a modern reading works to renew old meanings.

Выступление приурочено к презентации нового акустического альбома Титова. Прозвучат злые песни о любви. За 2 года жизни в Берлине Титов придумал название жанру, в котором проходят его выступления — панк-нео-бард. Чтобы понять, что это значит — нужно прийти.
Вот так описал однажды его концерт Боря Барабанов (музыкальный критик): «Искусный лицедей и отчаянный рокер Игорь Титов разрывается между спектаклями «Мастерской Брусникина» , съемочными площадками (вы видели его в «Содержанках», «Человеке из Подольска») и собственной музыкой, транслируя в собственных песнях корневую ярость Александра Башлачева, тихую правду Александра Галича, актерское обаяние Алексея Кортнева и то, что есть только у него. Возможно, так звучит ком в горле, возможно — настоящая любовь».
Вадик Королёв (OQJAV): Игр Титов — одарённейший из песенников-«плохишей», из тех, кто не осветляет окружность, но хтонно-правдиво следует её природной животной орбите, ничуть при этом не спекулируя ни светом, ни тьмой. Я не знаю, как он пишет эти песни, а если быть честным — не раз ловил себя в намёке на восхищённую зависть.
С. Филипенко (писатель): Я бы сказал, что Титов заново переоткрываает Галича, к творчеству которого я всегда был очень спокоен. Иногда композиторы исполняют свои собственные произведения хуже, чем другие артисты. И мне кажется, что Титов – тот случай, когда современное прочтение работает на обновление старых смыслов.
